Hello, I'm Anna, your Birth and Postpartum Doula in San Francisco.
My love for babies goes back to when I was a 7-year-old girl. I was living in a 9-story block house. Every evening, like clockwork, strollers would appear in the yard. Parents would come out to catch a breath of air. I was always drawn to say hello to the little one and would offer to take the stroller around the block so the parents could have some rest. To date, whenever my mom meets someone from the block, they always mention how they remember me taking care of their babies.
When I heard for the first time about doulas, I was in awe; supporting parents in bringing their baby into the world and nurturing them through the postpartum period was what I wanted to do. A transformative trip to India in 2022 put everything in place. Without knowing that this would be the path I would choose for myself later, I decided to do the prenatal yoga teacher training followed by a Vipassana silent meditation retreat. I returned knowing that I had found my true calling.
My passion is to guide you through this transformative journey.
My role is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, seen, and validated in your emotions and experiences.
My philosophy is to nurture you, providing compassionate care and empowering you to thrive in your new role.
Some fun facts: I have lived in three countries, speak six languages, and traveled around the world for one year. I love cooking and hosting theme parties—nourishing people is my love language. I cooked Chicken Tikka Masala and baked 300 muffins for 120 people. I share my life journey with my husband, Aravindo, and our furry baby, Luna.
Birth Care
Birth is a transformative and deeply personal journey culminating with a new life brought into this world, and my role is to stand beside you as an anchor of support and trust. As a birth doula, I focus on personalized care, evidence-based information, and intuitive guidance. Whether offering comforting techniques, squeezing hips, changing positions, or offering continuous emotional support, my role is to create an environment where you feel safe and fully supported.
My birth philosophy comes down to choice. It is the most important thing I hold as sacred in the birth environment.
Postpartum Care
The postpartum period is a time of profound transformation, and I am here to support you as you navigate this new chapter. As a postpartum doula, I focus on postpartum healing. I help you heal — physically, emotionally, and mentally — as you transition into parenthood. Whether it’s offering guidance with newborn care, creating space for you to rest and recover, or simply being a compassionate listener, I strive to meet you where you are.
My postpartum philosophy comes down to healing and nourishing. It is my true calling and deepest work.
